The Slice Superintendent will oversee the daily operations of the Slice department by maintaining the entire operation of the assigned area, which includes, but is not limited to employee safety, food safety and quality of product, production goals, production yields, employee relations and ensuring all company policies are followed. The position will also be responsible to:
- Provide leadership to direct reports with direction and coaching to achieve objectives and will recognize problems and implement solutions
- Ensure the safe and cost effective production of products to ensure that meets or exceeds West Liberty Foods food safety and quality standards in a manner that is consistent with policies and procedures
- Follow and ensure compliance with all USDA, Federal, State, and company regulations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required, 4-year degree preferred
- Three or more years food processing experience in a supervisory role
- Slicing experience desired
- Ability to report accurate production figures, measure product yields, and productivity
- Flexible schedule to ensure customer requirements and specifications are met, including weekend work
- Ability to work with all levels of operations and other departments within the company
- Experience with MS Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Excellent written and verbal skills
